The author deals with the topic, in this article, on the treatment given to our discipline over the time, particularly in Argentina, focusing on the professor Ricardo Levene. The doctor Pihlajamaki argues that such academic starts a regional development of our field (i.e, universal and cosmopolitan), which departs from the traditional conception of legal history, with him a strong national emphasis that would prevent a full development of the issues of this branch of legal science.
