Human experimentation as biopolitical strategy

Este artigo busca compreender a experimentação em seres humanos no contexto da biopolítica, tal como foi apresentada por Michel Foucault. Destacam-se as formas históricas de práticas de submissão dos sujeitos à experimentação em nome da segurança da população, e aponta-se a falta de proteção dos participantes de pesquisa diante das lacunas na regulação ética da pesquisa médica. Em primeiro lugar, aborda-se brevemente a relação entre bioética e biopolítica. Em seguida, apresentam-se as particularidades da biopolítica da população segundo Michel Foucault; posteriormente, discute-se a gestão das populações por meio das desigualdades do racismo de Estado e do dispositivo de segurança. São abordadas as contribuições teóricas de Michel Foucault para analisar a medicina e a pesquisa com seres humanos como estratégias biopolíticas e, por fim, apresentam-se argumentos que indicam a função biopolítica da normatividade ética na experimentação humana.
